death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal

his father passed away when he was a teenager.
his mother had to take care of other brothers and sisters, 10 all together.
he and his younger sister were sent to stay with their grandmother.
he bonded with his sister over the years and they were inseparable.
their grandmother took care of them till they went to university.
at times, he will meet up with his mother and other brothers and sisters.
his father had 3 other sisters and 1 brother who constantly took care of him and his sister.
he was close to his uncle and aunties.
they were like his parents.
after diploma, he went to finish up his degree in Michigan, his sister got married.
after completing his degree he came back and worked.
he remains his close relationship with his aunties and uncle through out the years.
his aunt basically took care of him when he first arrived in kl.
12 years ago, his grandmother passed away.
his grandmother who took care of him after this father's death.
when his grandmother died, i was at school.
i was 12 years old at that time.
i could tell that he was sad but he was trying to be strong.
later after that, he took care of his mother.
although his mother was not much of a talker, they would talk of random things.
he was close to his mother, again.
6 years ago, they went to perform haj together.
he went with his wife and his mother.
the 3 of them.
but came back with only his wife.
he called on the day his mother died.
he called and i answered his call.
he was crying so hard that i couldn't understand a word he said.
but from the sound of it, i knew it was bad news.
it has been 6 years since his mother passed away.
from that day forward, he was close to his only uncle.
he was more like a father to him.
he took care of him like he was his own son.
then, his aunties.
although there were 3 of them.
he was particularly close to only 1 among the 3.
when his aunt's husband passed away few years back, i don't remember when.
i remembered it was a sad moment for everyone.
he was there to accompany his aunt through out the funeral process.
i was there and i remembered every bit of the funeral.
this morning, she joined his husband.
his aunt who were like his mother.
his aunt who took care of him ever since his father passed away.
she was very sick the last few days.
he had been in the hospital to visit her almost every night.
he called me to tell me not to worry.
he didn't sound so good himself.
i knew he was sad but there's nothing much he could do.
she was getting very sick over the past 2 years.
today, when i got the news
i tried to call him but he was too busy.
probably too sad to talk.
it must have been difficult for him.
another family member.
if only i could be there for him.
he is now in perlis with the rest of the family members.
she who has a wikipedia, was more like a grandmother to me.
i can't imagine what he is feeling now.

he is..my dad.
